First let me say, I’ll see you there! The 2008 Dallas Stars Ice Breaker is coming! The 2008 Dallas Stars Ice Breaker presented by Galleria Dallas will take place on Saturday, September 13 and features Dallas Stars players signing autographs from 11 am – 1 pm (The Planet Tan Dallas Stars Ice Girls will also be on-hand).

2nd but not the least, I’m sad to see Stars player Stu Barnes leave the ice, but he’s not going far. He’ll be replacing assitant coach Ulf Dahlen who took a job as head coach in his native Sweden. Stu was always a blast on the ice. And anyone in the arena knew when he was on the ice, because we all yelled “Stuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu”. I’ll defnitely have to get a T-shirt with his name on it if I can’t afford his jersey (those things are EXpensive!). sigh.

We’ll miss you Stu!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, back to re-re-re-writing my WIP

Well, the end of hockey season is kind of “end of year-ish” :). Congrats to all the teams who played so hard and made this such a fun season, but especially, my own Dallas Stars. sigh. Seems so long till August!

But no rest for the weary writer. I’m polishing a short short (about 1K words) for a story contest, developing, with the N&N rep, the Spec Fic short story contest for later this summer, working on the newsletter for my local RWA chapter (www.ntrwa.org), organizing my two novels in work, determined to finish these by FenCon (www.fencon.org), oh! and gotta write or polish something for the FenCon Workshop, and I’m going to ConestogaCon (http://www.sftulsa.org/conestoga/), going to see a Rogers & Hammerstein musical this Saturday in Austin (I don’t know which one, sorry, I’ll ask today), and last night I went to the Bass Hall in Ft. Worth to see Monty Python’s Spamalot! (www.montypythonsspamalot.com/)

Now, is that some start to the summer or what?

OK so when the server peeps moved my 3 domains, they lost one, the pathauldren.com is out there somewhere floating around someone’s electronic ether. So I gotta do it all over again. sigh.

In the meantime, I’m recouperating slowly from surgery, had some problems but they are being dealt with, you could say I’m in “injured reserve” cuz it’s PLAYOFF time for hockey season! Hubby and I attended Tuesday night’s game, which we were afraid would be a bit of a stinker, and it was (the black out didn’t work guys). So we are hoping toinght’s game has a much better outcome, like WE WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I’ll be toodling on the site the next couple of weeks, hopefully getting things like I want them. Please bear with me.

Tonight! The Dallas Stars host the Toronto Maple Leafs and we’re going!

Well, we weren’t there when Mo broke the record, but for a sec, we thought he had. He knew he hadn’t, but from the stands, it sure looked like the real thing. However, he DID break the record later, and tonight, Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at the American Airlines Center, the Dallas Stars fans are celebrating Mo’s record.

Mike Modano Tribute Night, presented by American Airlines, is tonight, as the Stars host the Anaheim Ducks at American Airlines Center. The organization will kick things off with a pre-game ceremony that will start at 7:30 pm (sharp). And thankgoodness hubby is recording it, cuz I’ll be at my writing group (DFW Writers’ Workshop).

I wish we were there, but funds being what they are, well, you know how it goes. We do go Friday night, already scheduled in our partial season ticket plan. And a big thanks to our Stars rep, Ryan, for the little extras he’s done for us these past few months of the hockey season.

Stars have new general managers and new pres. I dunno if that’s gonna help or hurt us this year, but the way we’re going right now, I don’t think it could hurt too much more. We’re like 4th in the Pacific Division (as of Wed. nite when we lost to the San Jose Sharks).

Still, I have faith in the players. I know they want the best for the team and work their asses off each game. *I* couldn’t do what they do!

It’s NaNoWriMo time again!

One of the reasons I changed my website design completely

I’m working on my 3rd novel, editing my 2nd, and letting my 1st simmer on the back burner of my brain.

Bit by bit, I’ll be developing this site more and more. You know I gotta have my hockey stuff and my kids & grandkids and all my “stuff”. But it’s a little more complicated with WordPress (I’m rather new to WP).
